Points to remember while telling Story to a Toddler

Having a toddler at home I know it is not very easy at all to tell a story to a Toddler.  I thought of sharing few tips that has to be remembered while telling a story to a toddler.  

• Always have the animals and birds(that is kid's all time favorite) as the characters of the story that will make the toddler listen to the story with more interest.
• Stories is the best way to teach a toddler good values. So always end the story with the moral and proper reasoning for it.
• Give proper modulation to the narration. Try to imitate the voices of the animals in conversations(like a rough voice for a lion and soft one for a mouse).
• If possible use animal puppets or toys for corresponding stories.(Avoid such things for bedtime stories since it may cause some distraction).
• Never have a violence line in the story like killing or injuring an animal.(especially in the bedtime story).
• Always have a happy ending for the story that will give some positive  thoughts to the child.
• Try including real facts to the story(like lion that lives in the den..........)which they will learn more happily.
